31. Reaction Carrier Pinion Clearance Check





IMPORTANT: Replace carrier assembly if pinion gear clearance is out of specification. The pinion gears are permanently assembled to the carrier and are not serviced individually.

1. Measure reaction carrier pinion gear end play for proper clearance. Use a feeler gauge. The clearance is 0.24 - 0.69 mm (0.01 - 0.027 inch).
2. Clean and dry all components.
