Service Manual Update for 2000 and 2001 Saturn L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manuals Regarding Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Bolt Torque Specification
MODELS AFFECTED:
2000 - 2001 Saturn L-Series vehicles
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this bulletin is to update all 2000 and 2001 L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manuals at your location.
Please obtain all 2000 and 2001 L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manuals and make the necessary corrections as indicated below.
After making the following corrections the torque specification should read:
Torque: Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Bolt 20 Nm (15 ft-lbs)
1. In the 2000 L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manual:
^ On page 9, cross out the values for Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Retaining Bolt torque specification and write in 20 Nm (15 ft-lbs).
^ On page 940, under step 5, cross out the values for the Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Retaining Bolt torque specification and write in 20 Nm (15 ft-lbs).
2. In the 2001 L-Series Body/Electrical Volume II Service Manual:
^ On page 10, cross out the values for Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Bolt torque specification and write in 20 Nm (15 ft-lbs).
^ On page 962, under step 5, cross out the values for the Shoulder Belt-to-Seat Frame Bolt torque specification and write in 20 Nm (15 ft-lbs).
