Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair




REMOVAL
The fuel tank pressure sensor is located on top of fuel pump module cover.
1. Remove fuel tank from vehicle.
2. Remove retaining nut.
3. Disengage sensor from fuel pump module cover.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: To facilitate installation of the tank pressure sensor into its mounting boss on the fuel pump module cove'; lightly lubricate the multi-ribbed seal on the tank pressure sensor. A drop of clean engine oil is sufficient.

1. Install tank pressure sensor into the fuel pump module cover mounting boss.
2. Install retaining nut.

Torque: 2 N.m (18 in-lbs)

3. Install fuel tank.
4. Perform "Service Bay Diagnostic Test" for evaporative emission system using Scan tool. This test will verify integrity of vapor handling areas of fuel system.
