7. Manual Shaft, Detent Lever, Park Lock Installation

Tools Required
- J41229 Manual Shaft-To-Case Pin Installer





1. Install a new manual shaft seal into case. Use a 13 mm socket.





2. With manual valve to detent lever link and parking lock actuator assembly attached, install manual shaft and detent lever assembly into case.
3. Ensure parking lock actuator rod is correctly positioned into actuator guide.





NOTICE: Install manual shaft pin at correct height in order to properly secure manual shaft. The J41229 provides the correct installation height. If pin is installed too deep, the case boss might crack.

4. Install manual shaft pin into case. Use J41229.
