Cigar Lighter/Auxiliary Power

REMOVAL




1. Remove 20A LIGHTER fuse (auxiliary fuse) located in the instrument panel fuse block.
2. Obtain service tool J42059 (cigar lighter removal tool).




3. Lift tether cap from cigar lighter receptacle.
4. Locate two square holes in receptacle.




5. Hold the removal tool at a 30 degree angle while inserting it into receptacle.




6. Position one side of the removal tool in one hole then the other hole.
7. Pull receptacle straight out.
8. Disconnect connector.

INSTALLATION




1. Reconnect connector.
2. Push illumination ring and receptacle (tether cap and receptacle) assembly back into console.
3. Push tether cap back into receptacle.
4. Install lighter fuse.
