1. Converter Housing

- TOOLS REQUIRED
- SA9133T Axle Seal Puller
- SA9113T Axle Seal Installer
- SA9173G Slide Hammer

DISASSEMBLY





1. Remove park pawl assembly.





2. Using the lift points provided, remove the pump retaining bolts and remove pump, filter, pump gears, and wear plate.
3. Remove magnet and filter support spring. Clean magnet and filter support spring and discard suction filter.





4. Inspect output shaft bearing. If damaged remove bearing using SA91113T and install SA9173G slide hammer to bearing puller.

IMPORTANT: Use wood blocks between converter housing and press. This will prevent damage to the housing sealing surfaces.

Place the housing, bearing side down, on a press stand. Use the slide hammer to remove the bearing.





5. Remove converter seal.
a. Remove retaining ring.
b. Remove seal using SA9133T.





6. Remove converter bearing.
a. Remove retaining ring.
b. Remove bearing using SA91113T and SA9173G.





7. Remove axle seal using SA9133T.
a. Remove dust cover by prying out with a screwdriver.
b. Remove the seal by threading puller through the steel seal body as close to the outside diameter as possible.
