Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock (BTSI) Solenoid

BTSI SOLENOID





1. Check solenoid connector for open, spread or corroded terminals.





2. Test solenoid:
a. Remove BTSI solenoid.
b. Ground terminal A of the BTSI solenoid and apply 12 volts to terminal B.
- When 12 volts are applied to the BTSI solenoid, the actuator rod should not be able to move.
- If the actuator rod can move with 12 volts applied, replace the BTSI solenoid.
