Air Injection Hose/Tube: Service and Repair

REMOVAL




1. Remove nuts from combination valve studs.
2. Remove nuts from exhaust manifold studs.
3. Remove combination valve/air pump solenoid assembly studs and gasket.
4. Remove air pipe.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT:
^ Installation steps must be performed in sequence.
^ Make sure gaskets are installed correctly or a leak will occur. If gaskets are removed from studs, replace with new gaskets.




1. Install air pipe onto exhaust manifold studs.
2. Install air pipe into rear air compressor bracket slot.
3. Install air pump solenoid/combination valve assembly studs into air compressor bracket through air pipe flange holes.
4. Install and torque nuts on combination valve studs.

Torque: 7 N.m (62 in-lbs)

5. Install and torque nuts on exhaust manifold studs.

Torque: 7 N.m (62 in-lbs)
