LEFT SIDE AXLE SEAL

- TOOLS REQUIRED
- J41102 Axle Seal Installer

REMOVAL
1. Remove transaxle case side cover.

NOTICE: Do not score or damage side cover bore when removing axle seal.





2. Remove left axle seal from side cover. Use handle end of hammer.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: You must use Axle Seal Installer J41102 in order to install seal correctly. J41102-1 Axle Seal Installing Driver installs the axle seal to a given depth.





Install transaxle case side cover. Before axle shaft is reinstalled into the transaxle, install Axle Seal Expansion Cap J41102-2 onto the output shaft, and install left axle seal into side cover using Axle Seal Installing Driver J41102-1 as shown. Complete installation of case side cover.
