Front Intake Runner Replacement

INTAKE RUNNER REPLACEMENT (FRONT) BANK 2
(IN-VEHICLE)

- TOOLS REQUIRED
- J43914 Universal Clamp Pliers

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove intake hose assembly.





3. Remove four rubber boot hose clamps using Universal Clamp Pliers J43914.

NOTICE: Clamps are reusable if not damaged. Do not discard.





4. Remove intake runner mounting bolts.
5. Disconnect intake runner from rubber boots and remove intake runner.

INSTALLATION





1. Install intake runner onto rubber boots.
2. Install intake runner mounting bolts.
Torque:
Intake Manifold Runner Bolts: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)





3. Install four rubber boot hose clamps using universal clamp pliers J43914.

NOTICE: Inspect hose clamps for damage. Replace if damaged.





4. Install hose assembly.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
