Proportioning Valve

PROPORTIONING VALVE

REMOVAL

NOTICE: After removing brake pipe nuts, do not excessively pull or bend brake pipes away from proportioning valve.

NOTICE: Plug open brake pipes to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.





1. Remove brake pipes from proportioning valve assembly
2. Remove proportioning valve from vehicle

INSTALLATION
1. Position valve into vehicle and tighten brake pipe nuts.
Torque:
Brake Pipe-to-Proportioning Valve: 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.)
2. Fill brake fluid reservoir with clean brake fluid up to "MAX" mark on reservoir.
3. Bleed brakes.
