Radio Ground Strap

REMOVAL




1. Remove radio.
2. Disconnect radio ground strap spade terminal from rear of radio.




3. Adjust front seats to most rearward position.
4. Remove right lower trim panel extension by pulling outward at dual lock locations.
5. Rotate panel outward to disengage hinges from console.




6. At IPFB, disconnect bolt/ground strap ring terminal from lower H-Brace hole.
7. Unroute ground strap by gently pulling spade terminal end through H-Brace upper hole.

INSTALLATION




1. Route ground strap from upper H-Brace hole, up to radio area by putting spade terminal end through hole.
2. Connect bolt/ground strap ring terminal to lower H-Brace hole into IPFB.

Torque:
Radio Ground Strap-to-H-Brace: 2.2 N.m (19 in-lbs)

3. Make sure there is no excess slack in the ground strap.




4. Install right lower trim panel extension by inserting hinges into console.
5. Close extension panel and push in at dual lock locations.




6. Connect radio ground strap spade terminal, antenna, and electrical connector(s) to rear of radio.
7. Install radio.
