Seat Latch: Service and Repair




Rear Folding Seat Back Latch Replacement (SL, SL1, SL2, SC1, SC2, SW2)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the seat back cover. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement).




2. Remove the two bolts attaching the seat back latch to the seat frame and remove the latch.

Installation Procedure




1. Apply Loctite 242(R) Threadlocker P/N 21485277, or equivalent, to the latch bolts.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the seat back latch to the seat back frame with the latch bolts.

Tighten the rear folding seat back latch fasteners to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

3. Install the seat back cover. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement).
