Removal






1. Remove negative battery terminal.
2. Drain cooling system as directed in "Engine Coolant Check and Replacement."





3. Remove air intake duct, air filter box, and resonator.





4. Remove upper radiator clamp and hose from radiator and fold hose back.





5. On models with automatic transaxles, remove upper transaxle oil cooler line.





6. Remove fan motor electrical connector.
7. Remove wiring harness from fan shroud and radiator end tank.





8. Lift coolant fan off of upper and lower mounting brackets.
9. Remove fan assembly from vehicle.





10. Remove lower radiator clamp and hose from radiator.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED PRIOR TO LIFTING. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY WHEN A VEHICLE IS ON A HOIST, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE END FROM WHICH COMPONENTS ARE TO BE REMOVED.

11. Raise vehicle.





12. Remove lower splash shield.





13. On models with automatic transaxle, remove lower transaxle oil cooler line.

IMPORTANT: Wire condenser up to vehicle to keep in place.





14. Remove two lower condenser bracket-to-radiator bolts.
15. Lower vehicle.





16. Remove upper radiator nuts and brackets.
17. Remove upper radiator seal.
18. Remove radiator from vehicle.
