Trouble Charts

The tree charts are designed for easy use. When you first look at a tree chart you will notice that there are three distinctively shaped boxes; square, diamond and oval.
Square Box-The square shaped box is the instruction box, used to give you instructions required to perform the diagnostic step.
Diamond Box-The diamond shaped box is the result box. This box asks you for the status of the test that you just performed according to the square instructional box.
Oval Box-The oval shaped box is the action box. This box informs you of the action required to repair the problem or move onto another test step.
This format is used wherever tree charts are found. All other troubleshooting is performed using paragraph steps.
