Performance Test - Service Stall

IMPORTANT:
^ If the ambient air temperature is lower than 5°C (40°F), the A/C compressor will not be enabled.
^ This test must he performed in a service stall environment that protects the vehicle from wind that could cause incorrect pressure/temperature readings.

1. Start engine and warm to operating temperature.
2. Install thermometer in right center outlet.
3. Open doors and windows to stabilize interior temperature with outside ambient air temperature.
4. Depress recirc button.
5. Set temperature knob to full cold.
6. Select 3rd blower speed.
7. Depress A/C button.
8. Run Engine at 2000 rpm.
9. Continue running until system pressures and outlet temperature stabilizes. Usually 5 to 7 minutes.
10. Record A/C system pressures and outlet temperatures every minute for 5 minutes.
11. Compare readings to normal system performance charts then continue down diagnostic flow chart.
