Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

General Information

The power window system is designed to open and close all of the windows from a power window master switch assembly located in the console.

The power window master switch assembly contains two switches, one switch for control of each of the two front windows.

The system consists of a relay, one power window master switch assembly, four window motors and related wiring harnesses.

The power window system is operational only when the ignition switch is in the RUN position. For the rear window door switches to be operational, the rear window lockout switch must also be in the enable (ON) position.

Each window motor has an internal self resetting circuit breaker that will open the circuit if the switch is held in the up or down position too long after the window has reached the up or down position.
