Input Speed Sensor

INPUT SPEED SENSOR (ISS)

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON HOIST. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY WHEN A VEHICLE IS ON A HOIST, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE END FROM WHICH COMPONENTS ARE BEING REMOVED.

REMOVAL





1. Position vehicle on hoist and ensure ignition is Off.
2. Raise vehicle.
3. Disconnect Input Speed Sensor (ISS) harness connector and remove sensor.

IMPORTANT: Inspect O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: Clean and lubricate fastener with Saturn Transaxle Fluid. Wipe off excess fluid.

1. Install ISS.
Torque:
Input Speed Sensor (ISS): 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.)
2. Connect ISS harness connector. Push in connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
3. Lower vehicle.
4. Check transaxle fluid level.
