Fuel Tank Unit: Service and Repair

FUEL LEVEL SENDER UNIT AND FLOAT

REMOVAL

IMPORTANT: There are two fuel level sender unit and float assemblies in the fuel tank, there is one located on each fuel pump module. The fuel lever sender unit and float is the same for each of the fuel pump modules.




1. Remove fuel tank.
2. Remove fuel pump module with defective fuel level sender and float.
3. Disconnect fuel level sender unit and float electrical connector.




4. Remove fuel level sender card by sliding card down.

INSTALLATION
1. Install fuel level sender unit and float onto fuel pump module. Make sure that sender card snaps into place.
2. Connect fuel level sender unit and float electrical.
3. Install fuel pump module into fuel tank.
4. Install fuel tank.
