Transmission Cooler: Service and Repair

TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER

REMOVAL





1. Remove fascia.
2. Separate transaxle oil cooler lines from radiator.
3. Remove oil cooler line-to-radiator bracket bolt.





4. Remove battery box inlet air duct.





5. Remove condenser splash shield.





6. Remove upper Condenser Radiator Fan Module (CRFM) bracket assemblies.





7. Unclip condenser from radiator.
8. Unclip transaxle oil cooler from radiator and remove.

INSTALLATION
1. Clip transaxle oil cooler to radiator.
2. Clip condenser to radiator.





3. Install upper CRFM bracket assemblies.





4. Install condenser splash shield.





5. Install battery box inlet air duct.
6. Install oil cooler line-to-radiator bracket bolt.





7. Connect transaxle oil cooler lines to radiator.
8. Install fascia.
9. Check transaxle fluid level. If necessary, fill transaxle to proper level using Saturn Transaxle Fluid (P/N 22688912).
