Differential Case Assemble

DIFFERENTIAL CASE ASSEMBLY

^ TOOLS REQUIRED
- J 44386 Input/Output Bearing Installer
- J 7079-2 Non-Threaded Driver Handle

ASSEMBLY
1. Clean all parts in a suitable solution before assembling.

IMPORTANT: Lubricate bearing inner and outer race surface before assembly.





2. Apply P/N 21005994 to differential ring gear bolts.

IMPORTANT: The machined surface on the differential ring gear faces differential case.

3. Install differential ring gear onto differential case.
4. Install NEW differential ring gear bolts.
Torque: Differential Ring Gear Bolts: 95 Nm (68 ft. lbs.)





5. Install a NEW left differential side bearing and shim onto differential case using Input/Output Bearing Installer J44386 and Non-Threaded Driver Handle J7079-2.





6. Install a NEW right differential side bearing and shim onto differential case using Input/Output Bearing Installer J44386 (2) and Non-Threaded Driver Handle J7079-2 (1).
