Shift Cable: Adjustments

SHIFT CABLE ADJUSTMENT (ON-VEHICLE)

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect control assembly boot trim from trim bezel.
2. Gently pry up window switch trim bezel.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors from window switch trim bezel and remove bezel.





4. Lift shift cable adjuster retainers.
5. Adjust cable by pushing shifter neutral lock clip. Move shifter slightly to center lock clip.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that transaxle is in neutral.

6. Press and lock shift cable retainers.
7. Pull shifter neutral lock clip to its original position.





8. Connect electrical connectors and install bezel.
9. Connect control assembly boot trim to bezel.
