Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE (EOP) SWITCH

REMOVAL
1. Turn steering wheel all the way to the left.
2. Ignition Off

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS CENTERED AND PROPERLY POSITIONED PRIOR TO LIFTING.

3. Raise vehicle.
4. Remove right side front splash shield push pins and remove splash shield.
5. Disconnect engine oil pressure (EOP) switch harness connector.
6. Unthread engine oil pressure (EOP) switch and remove.

INSTALLATION





1. Install O-ring over EOP switch and install EOP switch.
Torque:
Engine Oil Pressure Switch: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
2. Connect EOP switch harness connector. Push connector in until the lock position is felt, then pull back to confirm engagement.
3. Install splash shield and splash shield push pins.
4. Cower vehicle.
5. Check oil level and fill it low.
6. Start engine and check for leaks.
