Drive Axle Shaft Seal Replacement

Tools Required
^ J43068 Axle Seal Installer
^ J45000 Seal Remover

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the drive axle assembly.





3. Using J45000, remove the wheel drive shaft oil seal from the transmission case.

Installation Procedure





1. Important: The seal must install flush with the case flange.

Using the J43068, install the front wheel drive shaft oil seal into the transmission case.
2. Install the drive axle assembly.
3. Lower the vehicle
4. Check the transaxle fluid level.
