104. Control Valve Body Assembly Installation

Control Valve Body Assembly Installation





1. Rotate the transmission assembly so that the I.D. tag is facing up.
2. Install 2 new case fluid passage seals (86) into the transmission case fluid ports.





Important: Shift the transmission into Neutral (N).

3. While holding the control valve body assembly (39), connect the manual valve link (336) to the manual shift detent lever assembly (710).





4. Install the 6 control valve body assembly to transmission case bolts/screws and hand tighten.
^ 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 16 mm (34)
^ 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 28 mm (35)
^ 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 55 mm (47)





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Tighten the control valve body assembly to transmission case bolts/screws in sequence.
^ Tighten the control valve body assembly to transmission case bolts/screws to 7.8 - 11.8 Nm (69.0 - 104.5 inch lbs.).





6. Install a new control valve body fluid passage cover gasket (38).
7. Install the control valve body fluid passage cover(37).
8. Install the 2 - M6 x 1.0 x 50 mm -control valve body bolts/screws (31).
^ Tighten the control valve body bolts/screws to 7.8 - 11.8 Nm (69.0 - 104.5 inch lbs.).
