Variable Drive Cover Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the left front wheel.
2. Remove the variable drive cover bolts.





3. Remove the variable drive cover from the transmission.
4. Remove the outer variable drive cover seal from the transmission and discard.
5. Remove the variable drive cover seal and discard.





6. Inspect the variable drive cover and cover seal for damage and replace as necessary.

Installation Procedure





1. Install a new variable drive cover seal.
2. Install a new outer variable drive cover seal.

3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the variable drive cover to the transmission.
Tighten the variable drive cover bolts to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
4. Install the left front wheel.
