Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

AIR PUMP

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect air pump harness connector.
2. Remove outlet and inlet hoses.
3. Remove air pump and bracket assembly bolts.
4. Remove air pump from air pump bracket.

INSTALLATION




1. Install air pump onto air pump bracket.
2. Install and torque bolt.

Torque:
Air Pump-to-Bracket Bolts: 5.5 N.m (49 in-lbs)

3. Install inlet and outlet hoses to air pump assembly.
4. Install air pump assembly to oil pan.

Torque:
Air Pump-to-Oil Pan Bolts: 25 N.m (18 ft-lbs)

5. Connect air pump harness connector. Push in connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
