25. Selective Washer Measurement and Installation

SELECTIVE WASHER MEASUREMENT AND INSTALLATION





1. Place Flat Gauge Bar Set J34673 across machined surface of case.
2. Measure distance between top of direct/coast clutch housing and machined surface of case (record measurement).
3. Note recorded measurement and choose the correct selective washer.

IMPORTANT: Position the tab of the selective thrust washer in recessed area for the coast clutch retainer and ball assembly.





4. Assemble selective thrust washer onto top of input housing.
5. Assemble thrust bearing over input shaft and onto top of selective thrust washer.
