Knock Sensor Bank 1

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove generator.
3. Remove belt tensioner.
4. Remove knock sensor bolt.
5. Disconnect knock sensor electrical connector and note wire routing.
6. Remove knock sensor.

INSTALLATION




1. Install knock sensor and bolt.

Torque:
Knock Sensor Bolt: 20 N.m (15 ft-lbs)

NOTE: Improper knock sensor harness routing can result in harness damage.

2. Route wire harness.
3. Connect knock sensor electrical connector.
4. Install belt tensioner.

Torque:
Belt Tensioner Bolts: 40 N.m (30 ft-lbs)

5. Install generator.

Torque:
Generator Mounting Bolts: 40 N.m (30 ft-lbs)

6. Connect negative battery cable.

Torque:
Battery Terminal Bolts: 17 N.m (13 ft-lbs)
