TCS SWITCH LED ALWAYS ON

When the traction control is enabled, the Electronic Brake And Traction Control Module (EBTCM) illuminates the TCS LED. When the TCS switch is activated, the EBTCM grounds circuit 1660 illuminating the TCS LED. When traction control is disabled, the EBTCM removes the ground from circuit 1660.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Using Scan tool, view the ABS data and monitor the traction switch while pressing on the TCS switch. If the data changes according to TCS switch application, the condition is intermittent.
When the EBTCM is in diagnostic mode, the traction LED will not be illuminated.
If the traction LED is illuminated when the Scan tool is viewing ABS data displays, then the diagnostics should be focused on the wiring and traction switch.
When diagnosing intermittent conditions, inspect wiring for the following:
^ Stuck switch
^ Proper connection
^ Backed-out terminals
^ Broken connector locks
^ Corrosion in connectors/terminals
^ Burned, chafed or pinched wiring
^ Broken wire inside insulation
^ Loose components
