DIFFERENTIAL CASE DISASSEMBLY

- J 44379 Differential Bearing Puller Plate
- J 44381 Shifter Bearing/Input and Output Bearing Remover

DISASSEMBLY





IMPORTANT: Shimming procedure must be performed when differential case is serviced.

1. Remove differential ring gear bolts from differential case. Discard bolts.
2. Remove differential ring gear from differential case.





3. Remove left differential side bearing using Differential Bearing Puller Plate J44379 (2), Shifter Bearing/Input and Output Bearing Remover J44381 (1), and a hydraulic press. Discard bearing.





4. Remove right differential side bearing from differential case using Differential Bearing Puller Plate J44379 (2), the Shifter Bearing/Input and Output Bearing Remover J44381 (1), and a hydraulic press. Discard bearing.
