Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL




1. Loosen clamp at air cleaner assembly.




2. Disconnect electrical connector at mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
3. Remove MAF harness from clip near air cleaner bolt.




4. Remove air cleaner assembly to bracket bolt.
5. While holding outer duct assembly back, lift air cleaner assembly out of vehicle.

INSTALLATION




1. Install air cleaner assembly into position, aligning locking pins into front panel.
2. Tighten air cleaner attachment bolt.

Torque:
Air Cleaner-to-Support Bracket - L81: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)




3. Connect MAF sensor electrical connector.
4. Install MAF sensor electrical harness into retaining cup.




5. Tighten clamp at air cleaner assembly.
