Coolant Line/Hose: Service and Repair

COOLING BRIDGE REPLACEMENT L81

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Lift and support intake manifold.





3. Drain engine coolant.
4. Disconnect electrical connector at coolant bridge.
5. Disconnect coolant hoses at coolant bridge.





6. Remove coolant bridge bolts.
7. Remove coolant bridge.
8. Remove all four seals at coolant bridge.

INSTALLATION





1. Clean and dry area before installing new seals.
2. Install lower seals into position.
3. Install coolant bridge.
4. Install upper seals into position.
5. Install coolant bridge bolt.
Torque:
Coolant Bridge Bolt - L81: 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.)
6. Connect electrical connector at coolant bridge.
7. Connect coolant hoses at coolant bridge.





8. Install intake manifold.
9. Connect negative battery cable.
Torque:
Battery Terminal Bolt: 17 N.m (13 ft. lbs.)





10. Fill coolant.
