Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Release the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) wiring harness retainer from the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) bracket.
3. Loosen the 2 insulator nuts (1) on the BPMV assembly.
4. Carefully lift the brake modulator assembly just enough to clear the bracket, then support the assembly.
5. Release the forward lamp wiring harness from the BPMV bracket.
6. Remove the brake pressure modulator assembly bracket mounting nut and mounting bolts.
7. Remove the bracket from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the BPMV assembly bracket to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the brake pressure modulator assembly bracket mounting nut and mounting bolts.
- Tighten the nut to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
3. Secure the forward lamp wiring harness retainer to the BPMV bracket.
4. Install the brake modulator assembly to the bracket.
5. Tighten the 2 brake pressure modulator assembly insulator nuts (1).
- Tighten the nuts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
6. Secure the EBCM wiring harness retainer to the BPMV bracket.
