Lock Cylinder Replacement - Lift Gate

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the lock assembly.
3. Remove the lift gate lock assembly nuts.
4. Disconnect the latch cable from the lock cylinder.
5. Remove the lock cylinder.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the latch cable to the latch assembly.
2. Position the lock cylinder to the lift gate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the lock cylinder nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connector to the lock assembly.
5. Install the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Lift Gate (Service and Repair).
