Head Restraint Guide Replacement

HEAD RESTRAINT GUIDE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
2. Remove the head restraint.
3. On manual seats, remove the recliner handle.
4. Remove the outer seat finish panel.




5. Remove the fasteners from the inner recliner cover and remove the cover.




6. If equipped, pull firmly on the lumbar knob from side to side.




7. Disconnect the hook retainers from the bottom of the seat back cover.
8.Fold the seat back cover over the top of the seat back to expose the seat cover wire.

NOTE: Use care when disengaging the hook and loop fasteners. The hook end may pull from the seat foam pad, requiring foam pad replacement.




9. Unsnap the wire from the wire retainer to disengage the seat back cover.




10. Remove the head restraint guides by compressing the tabs while pulling up on the sleeve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the head restraint guides to the seat back frame.




2. Snap the seat back cover wire to the wire retainer.
3. Install the remaining seat back cover trim by folding the trim down.




4. Connect the hook retainers to the seat back cover bottom.




5. If equipped, install the lumbar knob by pushing firmly on the knob.




6. Install the inner recliner cover and fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 25 N.m (22 lb in).

7. Install the outer set finish panel.
8. On manual seats, install the recliner handle.




9. Install the seat into the vehicle.
