Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REPAIR PROCEDURE




1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Disconnect the MAP sensor harness connector.
3. Remove the throttle cable bracket attachment nuts. Pick the throttle cable bracket up and move it to the side to allow enough clearance to remove the MAP sensor.
4. Remove the MAP sensor and the MAP sensor port seal if it is still retained in the intake manifold

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the MAP sensor with the port seal into the intake manifold
2. Connect the MAP sensor harness connector. Push in the connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
