Transmission Component and System DescriptionThe mechanical transaxle components are as follows:
^ A torque converter with a Torque Converter Clutch (TCC).
^ A drive link chain and two sprocket assemblies.
^ Intermediate/4th and Lo/Reverse friction band assemblies.
^ Forward, Coast, 2nd, Reverse, and Direct multiple disc clutch assemblies.
^ Two planetary gear sets: Input and Reaction.
^ Two roller clutches (Lo and 2nd).
^ A sprag clutch.
^ A vane type oil pump.
^ A control valve body assembly.
^ A final drive and differential assembly.
The electrical transaxle components are as follows:
^ Two shift solenoid valves, 1-2 and 2-3.
^ A Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulation Solenoid Valve (TCC solenoid).
^ A transaxle Pressure Control (PC) solenoid.
^ An automatic Transaxle Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor.
^ Two speed sensors: input and output shaft speed sensors.
^ An automatic Transaxle Fluid Pressure Manual Valve Position Switch (TFP valve position switch) assembly.
^ A pass-through automatic transaxle wiring harness assembly.
