Hose Replacement

HOSE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the 2 washer nozzle hole plugs under hood to access washer hoses.
3. Using a small flat-bladed tool to release the washer nozzle by depressing the 2 tabs from the underside of the hood.
4. Remove the hoses from the washer nozzles.
5. To route the new hose, install the new hose to the old hose on the passenger side only by forcing each end of the hose over a 6 mm (1/4 in) stud or equivalent.Apply tape to the joint where the 2 hoses meet.
6. Remove the old hose through the driver side washer nozzle installation hole from the under side of the hood.
7. Remove the driver side washer hose through the driver side washer nozzle installation hole from the underside of the hood.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Reconnect the washer hoses to the washer nozzles.
2. Remove the tape from the old and new hose and remove the stud.
3. Connect the passenger side washer hose to the Y fitting on the drivers side of the vehicle.
4. Inspect the hose routing.
5. Inspect the wiper/washer system for proper operation.
6. Install the 2 washer nozzle hole plugs.
