Catalytic Converter Replacement- RightRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front lower air deflector.
3. Disconnect the 02 sensor electrical connectors (1, 2).
4. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe.
5. Remove the catalytic converter bracket.
6. Remove the catalytic converter nuts.
7. Remove the catalytic converter.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the catalytic converter.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the catalytic converter nuts.
^ Tighten the nuts to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the catalytic converter bracket and bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the exhaust manifold pipe.
5. Connect the 02 sensor electrical connectors (1, 2).
6. Install the front lower air deflector.
7. Lower the vehicle.
