Tie Bar Replacement - Instrument Panel (IP)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Approved Equipment for Collision Repair Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones in SIR.
2. Remove all related panels and components.
3. Repair as much of the damage as possible to factory specifications. Refer to Dimensions - Body () .
4. Remove the damaged I/P tie bar.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the I/P tie bar to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts that hold the I/P tie bar to the hinge pillar inner.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones in SIR.
