Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness.
3. Depress the retaining tab and remove the powertrain control module (PCM).
4. Remove the PCM from the housing.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the PCM into the housing bracket.
2. Connect the wiring harness.
3. Connect the battery negative cable.
4. Program the PCM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Programming. Programming and Relearning
5. Perform the Idle Learn procedure. Refer to Idle Learn Procedure. Programming and Relearning
