Accumulator Assembly Installation





1. Install 2 8 mm x 14 mm spacer plate locating pins (451) into the servo valve body assembly.
2. Install the accumulator body spacer plate (450) on top of the servo valve body assembly.





3. Place the manual shift shaft detent roller (935) between the accumulator spacer plate (450) and the accumulator body assembly (495).
4. Insert the manual shift shaft detent roller pin (937) through the following components:
- Accumulator body assembly spacer plate (450)
- Servo body assembly (325)
- Main control valve body assembly (250)
5. Seat the end of the manual shift shaft detent roller pin (937) into the locating hole in the torque converter housing assembly (150).
6. Install the 8 mm x 62 mm 4th clutch, apply fluid passage tube (214) into the correct oil passage located in the top side of the main control valve body assembly (250).
7. Install the accumulator valve body (495) on top of the accumulator spacer plate (450).





8. Secure the accumulator body assembly (495) by using the following bolts:
- Both M6 x 1.0 x 60 mm (477)
- 2 M6 x 1.0 x 85 mm (483)
- 4 M6 x 1.0 x 95 mm (482)
- 2 M6 x 1.0 x 110 mm (476)
- A M6 x 1.0 x 125 mm (479)
- A M6 x 1.0 x 140 mm (478)
- Both M6 x 1.0 x 16 mm (467)






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

9. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
- Tighten all bolts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).





10. Install the following passage tubes into the accumulator body (495).
- Mainshaft lube passage tube (475)
- 1st clutch control fluid passage tube (480a)
- Coast clutch fluid passage tube (480b)
- 4th clutch control fluid passage tube (481)
