104. Regulator Assembly Installation

Regulator Assembly Installation





1. Install the regulator body spacer plate (400) by inserting both spacer plate locating pins (401) into the main control valve body assembly (250).





2. Lube and install a NEW stator shaft O-ring seal (406) on the stator shaft and torque arm assembly (431).
3. Install the stator shaft and torque arm assembly (431) through the hole located in the main control valve body assembly (250). Ensure that the assembly is fully seated and moves freely.





4. Insert the 7 mm x 71 mm stator shaft and torque arm, travel stop pin (405) into the hole located in the main control valve body assembly (250). Ensure that the pin bottoms out in the hole located in the torque converter housing assembly (150).





5. Install the regulator valve body assembly (430) onto the main control valve body assembly (250) using the following flanged bolt/screws:
- 2 M6 x 1.0 x 35 mm (411)
- A M6 x 1.0 x 55 mm (412)
- 4 M6 x 1.0 x 70 mm (413)
- A M6 x 1.0 x 80 mm (414)






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.
- Tighten all bolts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
