Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair



Engine Oil Pressure Sensor and/or Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.





2. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector.
3. Remove the oil pressure sensor (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Apply sealant GM P/N 12346240 (Canadian P/N 10953493).

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the oil pressure sensor (1).
Tighten the sensor to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.
4. Lower the vehicle.
