Revised Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory

Models:
2006 Saturn ION

This bulletin is being issued to revise the Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory procedure in the Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console sub-section of the Service Manual. Please replace the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.

The following information has been updated within SI. If you are using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected page.

Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the Front Floor Console Cup Holder Assembly. Refer to Cupholder Replacement - Front Floor Console.





2. Pull out on the accessory trim plate in order to release the retaining fasteners.





3. Disconnect the accessory trim plate electrical connector(s).

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the accessory trim plate electrical connector(s).





2. Align the retaining fasteners with the I/P.

3. Push on the outer edge of the accessory trim plate in order to secure the retaining fasteners.

4. Install the Front Floor Console Cup Holder Assembly. Refer to Cupholder Replacement - Front Floor Console.
