Power Door Lock Switch: Service and Repair

The content of this article reflects the changes identified in TSB Bulletin No. #06-08-64-002 dated January 20, 2006.


Note: When replacing a power door lock switch, it is necessary to first remove the door trim panel.

Power Door Lock Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the door trim panel (1).
2. Disconnect electrical connector.
3. Use a flat-bladed tool to pry the switch (2) from rear of the door handle assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the switch (2) on the door handle assembly and push inward to seat the switch.
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Install the door trim panel (1). Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door.
