Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair



Shift Lock Solenoid/Switch Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the shift control assembly.
2. Remove the shift indicator bulb from the shift control assembly.
3. Remove the shift solenoid retaining screw.
4. Disconnect the shift solenoid assembly wiring retainers from the shift control assembly.




5. Remove the shift solenoid assembly from the shift control assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the shift solenoid assembly from the shift control assembly.
2. Connect the shift solenoid assembly wiring retainers to the shift control assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the shift solenoid retaining screw.

Tighten the screw to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

4. Install the shift indicator bulb from the shift control assembly.
5. Install the shift control assembly.
