Wire Harness Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

Notice: The wheels of the vehicle must be straight ahead and the steering column in the LOCK position before disconnecting the steering column or intermediate shaft from the steering gear. Failure to do so will cause the SIR coil assembly to become not centered, which may cause damage to the coil assembly.

1. Remove the steering column.
2. Disconnect all the electrical connectors.




3. Remove all the wire harness straps (2).
4. Remove the wire harness from the steering column.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the wire harness to the steering column.




2. Replace all the tie straps (2).
3. Connect all the electrical connectors.
4. Install the steering column.
