Swing Out Window Weatherstrip Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the body side quarter window.
2. Starting at the weatherstrip joint (2), remove the weatherstrip (1) from the body pinchweld flange.
3. Clean the pinchweld flange with a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and water.

Installation Procedure





Important: The weatherstrip marked as LH has 2 yellow dots and the weatherstrip marked RH has 2 pink dots at the joint (2).

1. Position the left hand side weatherstrip end 50 mm (1.96 in) from the lower forward corner of the window opening.
2. Using a roller-type tool, begin at (2) and roll the weatherstrip (1) forward up the vertical window opening edge on the pinchweld and continue around the periphery of the entire flange back to (2).
3. Ensure there are no wrinkles and the window corners are secured to the flange radius.
4. Install the body side quarter window into the opening. Refer to Quarter Window Replacement (With A20 Power) Quarter Window Replacement (Without A20 Manual).
